Heather Harydzak returns for her third year as part of the UTD pitching staff with hopes of her best season yet. 

Harydzak made 25 appearances as a sophomore with 16 starts, and finished 3-9 with an 8.74 ERA. Struck out 17 in 69.2 innings of work. Was named to the American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference team and also earned UTD Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Made just six appearances as a freshman, all in relief. Had five strikeouts and six walks in just 8.2 innings of work in 2007. 

2009: .225 avg, Started and played in 35 games, 1 2b, 4 rbi. ASC All-Academic

HIGH SCHOOL: Had a successful high school career at Pasadena (TX) Memorial HS. Also played volleyball in high school. Was a member of the Academic All-State Softball Team.

MAJOR: Undeclared.

AMBITION: Teaching.
