Summary

Biography

Scott Rodgers turned in a scintillating senior year in 2009-10 after serving as the team's "consummate sixth man," according to coach Terry Butterfield, for the first three years of his career.

Rodgers fueled the Comets' second straight trip to the NCAA Div. III Tournament this past season, leading the team in scoring (15.5 ppg) and willing UT Dallas to several thrilling, last-second wins. He punched in game-winning free throws to seal victories against East Texas Baptist (Jan. 14) and UT-Tyler (Feb. 15).

His late-game heroics, coupled with UT Dallas' success on the national stage, led to his selection as a d3hoops.com All-South Region Third Team member. He will depart the men's basketball program after playing in every game during his four-year career.

“He’s one of those guys where you just point him in the right direction, tell him what you want, and he’s good to go,” said UTD coach Terry Butterfield. “He’s always been a catalyst, and he’s been an excellent one.”
