Chris Alfano, a utility infielder, has been a back-up third baseman for the past two seasons after earning the starting gig in 2008. An honor student, Alfano was selected to the American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Team in 2009, and will look to reenter the Comets' lineup in 2011.

2010: Appeared in four games, going 3-for-6 with one RBI at the plate.

2009: Appeared in just four games, starting one...batted .167 with one hit in just six at-bats...member of the ASC Academic All-Conference Team.

2008: Started 20 games as a freshman, sharing time at third base...hit .234 in 64 at-bats, knocking four doubles and 11 RBIs...drew 11 walks, but struck out 14 times for a .371 on-base percentage...had 32 assists in the field with just six errors.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played high school baseball on a district championship team at Southlake Carroll HS, where he was also a member of the National Honor Society and played basketball.
