University of Texas at Dallas Athletics

Clayton Maloy is a transfer from Cedar Valley College, where he was an award-winning player for two seasons. Will be battling for playing time at first base in his first year at UTD.

COLLEGE: Maloy started out his college career at Southern Arkansas, but transferred to Cedar Valley JC in 2007, where he was selected as the Male Player of the Year and won a Silver Slugger Award. Won a Commisioner's Award for academics at Cedar Valley

HIGH SCHOOL: Won multiple awars at Van Alstyne HS, where he played both baseball and football. In his senior season, he was an all-state third baseman, made first-team All-Texomaland and was team MVP. Was all-state at third base and honorable mention as a pitcher during his junior season. Team won three district titles and advanced to regional semi-finals in 2005 and 2006.
