Biography

Drew Banks joins the UTD program after a standout career at Newman Smith High School (Carrollton, TX) with stops at Cleveland State Community College (Tenn.) and Southern Polytechnic State University (Ga.). A two-time all-district pick at NSHS, Banks helped lead his squad to the district title as a junior. He also played football and baseball and ran track as a prep.

2010: Played at Southern Polytechnic State University. Appeared in three games with one home run and five RBI.

2009: Spent freshman season with Cleveland State Community College (Tenn.), earning All-Academic award.
