Randy Lorber rounded out a two-year career at UT Dallas in 2010 after beginning his collegiate career for Brookhaven College. A blazing-fast rightfielder, Lorber, who hit at the No. 2 slot for the Comets, led the team with eight home runs in 2010 and plated a UTD-best 31 RBIs. He was one base hit short of tying teammate Joseph Killgore for a team-best (59).

Lorber finished his UTD career with 14 home runs and 65 RBIs.

"He's just a good left-handed hitter," said UTD baseball coach Shane Shewmake. "He competes so well at the plate and understands the strike zone. He's another guy who just knows how to play the game."

2010: Played and started in all of UTD's 39 games...hit a scorching .374 while totaling a team-high eight long balls and 31 RBIs...laced nine doubles...went on a three-game home run streak, ranging from April 17-20...committed only two errors in right field.

2009: Was one of UTD's top hitters in 2009, hitting .388 in 43 starts...had 11 doubles, six home runs and 34 RBIs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played football and basketball and ran track at Newman Smith HS (Carrollton, TX)...he was a First Team All-District outfielder in high school, where he also won Honorable Mention honors in football...his baseball team was undefeated in 2004 and won the first of two back-to-back district championships...also honored as Academic All-District.
