Eddie Bull Jr., a high school coaching veteran with more than 30 years of coaching experience in the area, has guided the UTD men's and women's golf program since 2006. Selected as the program's first full-time coach, Bull has altered the courses of the men's and women's teams, which are continually climbing the hierarchy of the American Southwest Conference.

A native of Abilene, Texas, Bull began his coaching and teaching career in 1976 as a football and track coach at Farmersville (TX) HS. His coaching career led him to coaching jobs in football, soccer and baseball as well as golf at various high schools in the Dallas, Richardson and Midland school districts.
He coached at Dallas Roosevelt High School (1983-85), North Dallas High School (1985-88), Midland Lee High School (1988-1994), Wilmer Hutchins High School (1997-98), Richardson High School (1998-2000) and Dallas Jefferson High School (2000-02) before taking over the golf coaching responsibilities at Lake Highlands High School in 2002.
Bull earned his Bachelor's degree in education from Howard Payne University (1976), then a Master's degree in science education from UT Dallas (1998).
In addition, he has taught high school courses in physics, chemistry, geology, biology, English, journalism and government.
