Hudson Hicks joined the UT Dallas golf staff as a graduate assistant in August 2023.
In his first season on staff, the Comet women won the ASC Championship and finished ninth at the NCAA Division III Championship, while the men were the conference runners-up and placed 20th nationally. In year two, the Comets combined to win five tournaments.
Hicks helped both teams break several scoring records including average and birdies. He coached two All-Americans, two ASC Individual Medalists, an ASC Player of the Year and 10 All-ASC selections.
Hicks played four seasons for the Comets, earning Academic All-American Southwest Conference honors three times. He was also a 2020-21 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar and a 2022-23 Chi Alpha Sigma Inductee.Â
Hicks played in 16 tournaments and 32 rounds for UTD during his career. A native of Frisco, Texas, he was a First Team All-District selection and state qualifier for Wakeland High School.
Hicks graduated from UTD with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering.
