Garrett Hillen became UT Dallas'  most prolific shot-blocker in 2009-10, surpassing Brian Thomas (1999-02) as the program's all-time leader in swats in a Jan. 18 victory at the Ozarks. He was one of six seniors on UTD's 2009-10 squad, and played a crucial role in the Comets frontcourt for the past four seasons.

2009-10: Averaged 1.5 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks while playing in all 30 of UTD's games...totaled 15 blocks...scored a season-high six points in UTD's 63-62 win over Wheaton College (IL) in the second round of the NCAA III Tournament.

2008-09: Appeared in 23 games, averaging 6.1 minutes per contest…led team with 19 blocks…averaged 0.6 points per game while hauling in 1.4 rebounds per game.

2007-08: Appeared in 23 games off the bench…scored 19 points and totaled 27 rebounds throughout the season…added eight blocks.

2006-07: Made 14 appearances before an injury ended his season early…led team with 19 blocks, averaging 1.4 per game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hillen was a member of an Austin McCallum HS squad that won four straight district championships…played on a district-winning baseball team his freshman year…also played golf.
