Biography

Billie Dixon, a former All-American Southwest Conference defender at UT Tyler, instantly became a key cog in the Comets’ backfield in 2009. From 2005-06 he was a tough central defender with the Patriots, earning All-ASC Second Team honors in consecutive seasons. He attended Colin County Community College for two more years before joining UT Dallas in the fall of 2009.

Dixon played indoor soccer for two years prior to joining the Comets, sharpening his skills during his time away from the ASC.

2009: Appeared in 17 of the Comets’ 19 games, starting in 16 of them…awarded All-ASC Second Team accolades for the third time in his collegiate career.

2005-06:
Played on a pair of ASC Championship-winning squads at UT Tyler…was on the All-ASC Second Team both seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Was a two-time Defensive MVP—and District MVP—while attending Deer Park HS (Deer Park, TX)…played in the Texas Senior Showcase in 2005 and won NSCAA All-Region honors…his high school team advanced to the regional quarterfinal three straight seasons…also played eight years in the Houston Club Premier League…played two years of high school football.
