Former Comet goalkeeper standout Joseph Weber has served as a volunteer assistant for his alma mater since 2019.
Weber was a three-time All-American Southwest Conference selection and the 2016 Goalkeeper of the Year as a senior. He earned nine ASC Defensive Player of the Week awards during his three-year career and served as team captain twice. In three seasons at UTD, Weber compiled 38 wins, 172 saves and a 0.81 goals against average to go with 17 shutouts. He also an All-Region pick as a senior.
Prior to UTD, he played on season for Colorado State-Pueblo as a freshman, logging 104 scoreless minutes for the ThunderWolves.
A native of Frisco, Texas, Weber was a two-time Goalkeeper of the Year and three-time First Team All-District and two-time First Team All-Region selection for Heritage High School.
Weber was the ASC's representative to the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, served on the Division III Championships Committee and earned a Championships & Alliances Postgraduate Internship from the NCAA. He also interned for the Lone Star Conference.
He was the Operations Manager and Olympic Development Program Specialist for North Texas State Soccer Association from 2018-22. Weber currently serves as the Operations & Event Manager for US Youth Soccer in Frisco.Â
Weber graduated from UT Dallas in 2017 with a degree in Marketing and earned his Masters of Education in Sport Management from The University of Texas at Austin 2019.
