Japhen (J.J.) Lott is a true freshman, but earned a spot on the Comets' roster with his tenacious play as a defender. Should see playing time if not this season, in future years for the UTD defense.

An honor student in high school, he received a variety of scholarships to attend UTD.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was twice first-team All-District at Rowlett HS after earning second-team honors in his sophomore season... Was named his team Defender of the Year in 2008-09... his HS team reached the Regional semi-finals twice during his career and always qualified for the post-season... Additiionally, ran cross country... Participated seven times in the Dallas World Cup with his club teams, often reaching deep into the playoffs.
