Kevin Boyle was a multi-sport athlete at Pope John 23rd HS in Katy, Texas, earning recognition in soccer, track and baseball. Also played football during his HS career. Played both defender and goalkeeper for nine years on the Lamar Soccer Club, which was a Texas President's Cup state finalist in 2008.

Was a state finalist in the TAPS Division II track meet in both the 300 and 110 hurdles, as well as part of the 4x200 meter relay. Won second-team all-district honors in baseball. Was a first-team All-District player as a junior. He was also involved with theater and community service in high school. Won a Texas Student Achievement Award from the Texas ACT Council.
