Mazi Rabiee has been a stalwart member of the UTD squad since 2007 when he helped the Comets claim their last American Southwest Conference championship. A skilled player, he was recurrently sidelined with injuries during the 2009 season, but was still able to spark UT Dallas’ midfield. He totaled six points—off two goals and two assists—while making only nine starts.

Rabiee will return for his senior season in 2010 after contributing in a starting role for his first three years. He has continually progressed into a strong passer, with good field vision

2009: Appeared in 11 games, limited by a nagging leg injury…scored two goals and made two assists…took eight shots.

2008: Recorded two assists, starting in 19 games.

2007: As a freshman, started 20 games in UTD’s midfield…scored three goals, assisting on three others…named to the All-ASC Third Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was team MVP at Lamar HS (Arlington, TX) his senior season in 2007…led team to conference championship his senior year…scored 23 goals as the JV’s MVP in 2005…as a junior, named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year…helped team advance to state playoffs in 2005.
