Originally from Nigeria, Michael Anyriah (pronounced Ah-NEE-rah) was the Comets’ third-leading scorer during his junior campaign. He has been primarily utilized as a reserve forward, but made his way into UT Dallas’ starting lineup on four occasions in 2009.

Anyirah continues to evolve into one of UTD’s top scoring threats as he prepares for his senior year in 2010.

2009: Made 18 appearances, including four starts…scored a career-best three goals while dishing out five assists, totaling 11 points…took 14 shots on goal…notched one game-winning goal.

2008: Played in eight games and scored two goals.

2007: Played in 19 games as a freshman, but did not score…compiled eight shots, two on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played one year of high school soccer at Hillcrest HS (Dallas, TX) on a team that captured district and regional titles in 2007…advanced to the state quarterfinals that same season.
