University of Texas at Dallas Athletics

Ramiro Gonzalez transferred to UTD in 2007 after starting his collegiate career at St. Edward's University, and has been used in a reserve role his first two years. He is a hard-working defender who will be looking for more playing time in 2009, coaches say.

2007: Played in 12 games on the 2007 ASC Championship team.

2008: Played in 3 games

HIGH SCHOOL: Was an honorable mention all-district player at Round Rock HS on a team that advanced to the state playoffs. Hius club team, FC Shamrock, was state runnerup twice during his HS career. Also ran cross country. He was an honor graduate, completing high school with a 4.0 GPA.

Involved off the field with Amnesty International and Habitat for Humanity.
