Kaping’s sophomore season nearly duplicated his first, appearing in eight games in UT Dallas’ deep midfield. He made major strides last offseason and will be pushing for more playing time when he returns for his junior year in 2010.

2009: Played in eight games…recorded three shots.

2008: Played in seven games as a freshman…managed one shot on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played three years of soccer at Lake Highlands HS (Dallas, TX), where he was an active member in myriad organizations, including: Archaeology Club, French Club, Athletes Against Drunk Driving, the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes…was an award-winning member of several choral groups…earned multiple scholarships.

Kaping also played for the always-successful FC Dallas Youth Soccer Club and the Dallas ’89 Boys Blue Team

He is active in his church, leading service projects and worship. He also plays and sings music. He has worked with Habitat for Humanity, ASME and SHPE clubs at UT Dallas.
