Carter Ryan has improved every season as an offensive power, and should be the Comets' top hitter in 2009 as a designated player. 

Ryan was a first-team All-East Division player in the American Southwest Conference in 2008 and 2nd team selection for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association West Region team after hitting .370 for the second straight season. Made 39 starts and had a team-best 33 runs batted in in 108 at-bats. Collected 17 extra-base hits during the season, including 12 doubles, 2 triples and 3 homeruns for a .602 slugging percentage. Also earned ASC Academic All-Conference recognition.

In 2007, she set a team record with nine home runs while batting .371 with a slugging percentage of .681; and was named 2nd team ASC All-East Division.

Ryan lived up to expectations as a freshman, working her way into 34 games with 28 starts and hit .337 in her first collegiate season with nine doubles, one triple and a homerun.

2009: .271 Played in and started 36 games, 8 2b, 6 hr, 19 rbi. Academic All Conference, ASC All-East Division Second Team

HIGH SCHOOL: Ryan was a first team all-state player as well as district MVP on a team that advanced to the regional finals in her senior season. As a freshman starter on her high school team in 2002, Ryan played on the Frisco HS state 4A championship team. Was also an honor student in high school, and played on the volleyball team.
