University of Texas at Dallas Athletics

Kaci Hollingsworth was originally recruited to the UTD softball program in 2007, but decided to concentrate on academics instead. Will try to regain the form she had during an award-winning career in high school after a two-year layoff. Has worked for the UTD Athletic program over the past two years on stat crews for soccer, basketball and baseball/softball.

2009: .275 avg, Played in and started 36 games, 7 2b, 1 3b. Academic All-Conference.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hollingsworth was the 2006 All-District 10-5A Offensive Player of the Year for Carrollton R.L. Turner HS in 2006, where she started at shortstop for four straight years. Won honorable mention All-District honors as a sophomore and second-team honors as a junior. Team advanced to state playoffs in both her final two seasons. Also played basketball at R.L. Turner as an underclassman, and has worked for several years with the Dallas Mavericks' summer basketball camp.

MAJOR: Child Learning & Development

AMBITION: Masters in Human Development / Early Childhood Disorders; Teach elementary school or special education.
