Joyce, a local product of Pearce HS (Richardson, TX), earned a starting position at power forward as a freshman, but came off the bench in 23 of UT Dallas' 26 games in 2009-10.

Known for her defense, Joyce's scoring average dipped to 4.4 points, even though she played nearly 15 minutes per game. During her three-year career, she has made a seamless transition to the Comets’ perimeter in 2008-09, and will likely be used as a wing once again as a senior in 2010-11.

“She’s just a hard worker—that’s the bottom line,” said UTD coach Polly Thomason. “She’s a great rebounder, but we like to post her up and take advantage of her size.”

2009-10: Played in all 26 games, starting the first three before being replaced by Tawni Ichimura in the starting lineup...averaged 4.4 points and 2.0 rebounds...was UTD's top scorer in two games, including a 14-point outburst in a 75-36 win at LeTourneau on Jan. 18...selected to the ASC All-Academic Team.

2008-09: Averaged 7.4 points while starting all 26 of UTD’s games…recorded 3.4 rebounds per game…shot 51-of-67 (.761) from the free throw line…averaged 24.4 minutes per game.

2007-08: Averaged 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game…started 25 of the Comets’ 26 games, playing an average of 19.5 minutes per contest…totaled 22 assists and 21 steals.

HIGH SCHOOL: All-District selection at Pearce HS (Richardson, TX)…also played soccer while running track and cross country…worked on the school’s athletic training staff.
