Jami Clinton

Jami Clinton became the Comets' first-ever full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach on Aug. 7, 2015. She oversees the athletic strength and conditioning program for all 13 UTD varsity sports, and manages the athletic training center located at UTD's Synergy Park North building.

A native of Springtown, Clinton returned to her home state with more than 15 years of experience, including stops at the University of Alabama and Ole Miss. She is CSCCa Master Strength & Conditioning Coach certified and a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. In addition, Clinton brings to UTD certification as a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Fitness Professional and is a certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.

Clinton spent one year as the Associate Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports at the University of Memphis prior to her arrival at UTD. She was responsible for the design and implementation of the strength and conditioning programs for volleyball, softball and tennis. Prior to Memphis, she spent nine years at Ole Miss, most recently serving as the university's Coordinator of Olympic Sports for Strength & Conditioning at Ole Miss from 2008-14. There, she coordinated daily operations of olympic sports strength and conditioning department and oversaw the strength and conditioning relationship with 15 sports. Clinton arrived at Ole Miss in 2005 as Assistant Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning.

Clinton received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University in 1997 and began her collegiate strength and conditioning career in 1999 as Assistant Strength Coach at Texas Christian University. In 2001, she was named Graduate Assistant Strength Coach at Alabama, earning her master's degree in human performance in 2002. She remained on at Alabama as Assistant Strength Coach until taking her first position at Ole Miss.
