John Antonisse has been the Head Women's Soccer Coach at UTD for 16 seasons, and has led his team to 11 straight American Southwest Conference Tournament appearances, two ASC championships and a pair of berths in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournaments.
Under Antonisse's reign, the UTD women have qualified for every ASC Tournament they have been eligible to play in, and advanced to the ASC Championship game seven of the last 11 seasons.
The true veteran of the UTD coaching staff, Antonisse has led his team to 13 winning seasons in the last 14 years, and has perennially been one of the top teams in the American Southwest Conference since joining the league in 2002.
In his 16 seasons as head coach, Antonisse's teams have compiled a 198-85-33 overall record. Since joining the ASC, the Comets have now won or tied 169 of 196 conference games.
Antonisse is a local product, graduating from nearby J.J. Pearce High School (Richardson, TX). He played collegiate soccer at Richland College, then at the University of Tulsa before earning a BS degree in marketing in 1986. He completed a Master's degree from Amberton University in the spring of 2004.
After beginning his coaching career at UTD as an assistant men's soccer coach in the mid-1990's, Antonisse became a head coach at the University of Dallas (Irving, TX) in 1996-97, then returned to spearhead UTD women's soccer program in 1997. During his tenure at UTD, Antonisse has been crowned the ASC Coach of the Year three times.
John also coaches for the Dallas Texans Soccer Club, one of the most prestigious organizations in the country. He also holds a USSF "A" License and an NSCAA “Premier” diploma.
