Biography

Day was a staple in the Comets’ stellar defense for the last four years, earning All-American Southwest Conference accolades for the first time in her career following the 2009 season.

Over the past four years Day has been credited with 3,550 minutes of playing time and three goals. A strong, agile defender on the field, Day has also excelled in the classroom and has been two-time honoree on the ASC Academic All-Conference Team.

2009:
Scored one goal and fired seven shots on net…named to the All-ASC Second Team at season’s end.

2008:
Played in 20 games, including 19 starts.

2007:
Scored one goal in 14 games as a sophomore.

2006:
Played in 12 games…scored one goal as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Played four years of soccer at LaPorte HS (LaPorte, TX) on a team that advanced to the state playoffs each season…was a three-time First Team All-District selection and twice named her team’s Defensive Player of the Year…won the district’s Defensive Player of the Year award twice…member of the National Honor Society, winning multiple academic awards at LaPorte…also an award-winning member of the school’s marching band and played volleyball.
