Schmidt is gradually becoming a staple in UT Dallas’ midfield, pouring in one goal in each of her first two seasons. She has primarily been a reserve, but could earn a starting role with the departures of several senior midfielders.

A “skillful” and “smart” player, says coach John Antonisse, Schmidt has appeared in 35 games during her first two years as a Comet.

2009: Made three starts in UTD’s midfield…recorded one goal and assisted on another.

2008: Scored one goal—a game-winner—while making appearances in 18 games as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a First Team All-District player at San Angelo HS (San Angelo, TX)…a Texas Scholar, she graduated in the top 12 percent of her class and was active in several organizations.
