Summary

Biography

Calverley emerged as one of the top setters in the nation as a sophomore, then garnered All-American honors for guiding the Comets, the only unbeaten program in all of NCAA III during the regular season, to their second straight league title in 2009.

With 2,705 career assists—the most in UTD history—Calverley became the first Comet to earn back-to-back AVCA All-South Region honors, joining teammates Jessica Nassau and Amber Wetz on the 2009 ballot. She has also maintained a career average of doling out 8.99 assists per set, also a school record.

2009: Totaled a league-leading 892 assists…named to the ASC All-Conference Team, as well as the ASC East Division First team…twice named ASC East Division Offensive Player of the Week…earned ASC Tournament MVP honors for canning 55 assists as UTD beat Hardin-Simmons 3-2 in the conference title tilt…awarded AVCA All-South Region status for second straight season…placed on AVCA All-American Third Team, the first Comet to achieve better than honorable mention notoriety.

2008: Dished out 1,227 assists while averaging 11.05 per set, both UTD single-season records…named the ASC East Division Offensive Player of the Year…recorded 261 digs and 44 blocks…was an ASC All-Conference selection, as well as a member of the ASC East Division First Team…named ASC Player of the Week three times…earned an honorable mention nod as part of the AVCA’s All-South Region.

2007: Appeared in 104 games, sharing setting duties as a freshman…posted 586 assists, averaging 5.63 per game…pitched in 17 kills and 28 aces.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Calverley was a two-year All-District selection at Wylie HS (Wylie, TX)…her team won a district championship in 2005…she was named to the Academic All-State team in 2006…also a member of the school’s cheerleading squad.
