Box Score 2 SEGUIN / KERRVILLE, TX (10.09.10) - For the last three games, goals have become hard to come by for the UT Dallas men's soccer team. And this time, it cost them as the Comets ended up playing a pair of low-scoring, double overtime ties on a weekend road trip and lost grasp of their top spot in the American Southwest Conference standings.
UTD, which dropped a 2-1 overtime loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor in their last home game, played Texas Lutheran to a 0-0 tie on Friday in Seguin, then had to rally late to force a 1-1 draw with Schreiner on Saturday in Kerrville.
The two ties only picked up a pair of points for the Comets (8-3-2, 5-1-2 ASC) in the conference standings and allowed both UT Tyler (6-1-1) and UMHB (6-2-0) to surpass them with just five games left on the ASC schedule to make up the deficit.
UTD hosts East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau next weekend at home in their final home series, then faces UT Tyler, Concordia and Ozarks on the road to finish out the regular season.

Brian Bienhoff's goal in the 88th minute saved the Comets from a potential loss, but neither the Comets or Moutaineers could tally a game-winner in the extra time as UTD was handed its second consecutive tie.
After a scoreless first half, Schreiner opening the scoring with a goal in the 65th minute to give the Mountaineers a 1-0 lead. Bienhoff knotted the game with his fourth goal of the season as he took a pass from teammate
