Box Score LONGVIEW, TX (10.15.11) - Four different players scored as the UT Dallas men's soccer team snatched a 4-0 road win at LeTourneau Saturday night in American Southwest Conference play.
The Comets (now 10-1-2, 8-1-1 ASC) posted their eighth shutout of the season, sixth of which has been in ASC play, and reached the 10-win plateau for the 12th time in the 14-year history of the program.
Michael Darrow opened the scoring in the 32nd minute as he tallied his team-leading eighth goal of the season, the only goal for the Comets before the half.
Will Collins doubled UTD's lead in the 54th minute with his first career collegiate goal before
Brian Bienhoff scored his third goal in two games in the 81st minute. The Comets' final goal came in the 87th minute by
Dylan Dement, his first goal of the year.
Darrow led the Comets five shots, two of which were on goal, while
Steven Nicknish recorded three saves as he collected his sixth shutout of the season.
LeTourneau dropped to 4-7-2 overall and 4-3 in ASC play.
UTD returns to action Thursday as the Comets host Concordia to open a four-game home stand to end the regular season. Game time is 7 p.m. at the UTD Soccer Field.
