CLARKSVILLE, AR (10.11.14) - After nearly an hour delay due to rain, the UT Dallas men's soccer team rallied for a 2-1 win at Ozarks Saturday afternoon in American Southwest Conference.
Trailing 1-0 early, the Comets (now 7-3-2, 2-1 ASC) evened the game in the 25th minute on a penalty kick by
Will Collins. UTD got the go-ahead goal from
Chase Withrow in the 74th minute as Withrown collected a rebound and knocked the ball in off the post.
The Comets out-shot Ozarks, 15-4, with 11 shots on goal in the contest. The host Eagles finished with just two shots on goal.
Michael Matthews led UTD with four shots, three of which were on goal. UTD keeper
Joseph Weber finished with one save.
The Comets return to action Friday afternoon when they visit East Texas Baptist. Game time is 3 p.m. in Marshall.
