RICHARDSON, TX (10.02.15) - The No. 22-ranked UT Dallas volleyball team improved to 6-0 in American Southwest Conference play Friday night with a 3-0 win at LeTourneau. The Comets handled LETU, 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.
The Comets (now 15-2) collected their eighth straight win as they hit .217 as a team against the YellowJackets.
Holyn Handley had a match-high 11 kills, adding seven blocks and a pair of digs.
Emma Wallbrown had eight kills and
Michelle Toro finished with seven kills.
Senior setter
Kayla Jordan, the NCAA Division III leader in assists per set, had another tremendous night leading the Comet attack. Jordan had 34 assists in the match, averaging 11.3 per set, while adding nine digs, two kills and a block.
Abbie Barth had a match-best 17 digs while libero
Fayna Zeng had 16 digs and two aces.
For LETU (now 4-12, 0-4 ASC), Dolores Kroese had a team-high eight kills as the YellowJackets hit .070 as a team for the match.
The Comets will wrap up their road weekend Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at new ASC member Belhaven in Jackson, Miss.
