RICHARDSON, TX (10.03.15) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team fell to 2-2 in American Southwest Conference play Saturday afternoon after a 3-1 home loss to Hardin-Simmons.
The Comets (now 7-5 overall) will look to bounce back after losing two of their last three games Wednesday night when they host Austin College for a non-conference game. Game time is 7 p.m. at the UTD Soccer Field.
Hardin-Simmons (now 8-2-1, 4-1 ASC) opening the scoring in the 27th minute on an unassisted goal by Kami Jones from 10 yards out, the first of three first-half goals by the Cowgirls. HSU doubled its lead in the 39th minute on an Olivia Hartman tally, assisted by Jones, and then took a 3-0 lead with just under five minutes left in the opening half as Hartman scored again, unassisted.
UTD got on the board in the 53rd minute when
Jacqueline Kaufman netted her fifth goal of the season as she broke away from midfield and beat Cowgirl keeper Lexi Stinson one-on-one.
The Comets finished the match with 15 shots, six on goal, while HSU collected 24 shots, 12 on goal.

Jessica Rusk each had three shots while UTD keeper
Monica Dallacasa made nine saves in a full 90 minutes in goal.
