RICHARDSON, TX (10.07.15) - After dropping two of three games last week, the UT Dallas women's soccer team rebounded Wednesday night with a 4-0 home win over Austin College in non-conference play.

Four different Comets (now 8-5) scored as UTD out-shot the Kangaroos, 27-4, on the night. UTD finished with 17 shots on goal, compared to just two by the 'Roos. Austin College fell to 2-8-2 with the loss.

Freshman Jacqueline Kaufman opened the scoring in the 15th minute for her team-leading third game-winning goal of the season. Melissa Fulfer snaked a pass through the AC defense for a streaking Kaufman before Kaufman finished with a shot past a diving Laura McGee. MaKayla Forsberg would then give UTD a 2-0 lead in the 38th minute, scoring off a header deflection by teammate Tori Edge.

In the second half, Megan Mugavero lifted the Comets to a 3-0 advantage in the 65th minute, scoring from close range past McGee after Fulfer's second assist of the match. Lindsey Perek completed the scoring in the 85th minute with her first career goal, deflecting an entry pass from Tatum Moog.

Keeper Monica Dallacasa played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Comets, making two saves, for her fourth shutout of the season. McGee played the full game as well, making 13 saves.

The Comets return to American Southwest Conference play with a 1 p.m. road game at first-year program Sul Ross State Saturday.
