LONGVIEW, TX (09.19.15) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team earned its sixth shutout of the season Saturday night with a 2-0 win at LeTourneau in a "non-conference" game.
The Comets (now 6-1-1) wrapped up their non-conference schedule Saturday and will officially open American Southwest Conference play next weekend with a pair of road games. UTD will travel to Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday at 7 p.m. and Concordia Texas Saturday at 7 p.m.
UTD opened the scoring in the 23rd minute on a goal by
Jason Horvath, scoring in front of the goal after a cross from teammate
Danny Meyer. Meyer then added a goal in the 61st minute, assisted by
Erik Reyes.
The Comets finished the game with 19 shots, 10 on goal, compared to just two by LeTourneau. The YellowJackets did not record a shot on goal. Reyes had a team-best four shots while Meyer finished with three shots.

Joseph Weber played the full 90 in goal and did not need to record a save as the Comets picked up their third straight shutout.
