Box Score MARSHALL, TX (10.15.16) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team kept control of its spot atop the American Southwest Conference standings Saturday night with a 3-1 conference win at East Texas Baptist University.
The Comets (9-3-1 overall) improved to 6-0-1 in ASC play, which translates to 19 points in the standings, two points up on second-place Hardin-Simmons, which also won Saturday. UTD has two weeks remaining on its regular season schedule. ETBU dropped to 5-4-4 overall and 3-2-2 in conference play.

Danny Meyer, who had a goal and assist Friday night against LeTourneau, found the net twice on Saturday to give UTD a 2-0 lead that held up until late in the second half. He started the scoring in the 28th minute on assist from
Sam Konstanty, then added another goal 10:27 into the second half off a feed from
Daaron McFarling. ETBU got its only goal in the 76th minute on a David Jackson penalty kick, but UTD took the ensuing kickoff quickly down the field where
Andrew Jenson punched in a charge off a pass from
Stephen Melchor.
The Comets dominated offensively, outshooting the Tigers, 19-6. UTD had 12 shots on goal while ETBU managed just one other than PK.Â
UTD is back at home Thursday for a rematch of last year's ASC finals with UT-Tyler. The University of the Ozarks comes to town on Saturday afternoon.
