RICHARDSON, TX (10.20.16) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team had its four-game American Southwest Conference winning streak snapped Thursday night with a 1-0 home loss to Texas-Tyler.
The Comets (now 9-6, 6-3 ASC) return to action Saturday afternoon when they host Ozarks at 2 p.m. in their final home game of the season. After the contest, UTD's seniors will be recognized as part of Senior Day.
After a scoreless first half, UTT (now 10-2, 7-1 ASC) got the only goal of the game in the 57th minute as Patriot Brittany Matthews stole the ball at midfield and ran drove to the right and drilled a shot back left past a diving keeper for her 17th goal of the season.
The Comets finished with 14 shots, six of which were on goal, with
Melissa Fulfer and
Megan Mugavero each with threes hots. UTT took 15 shots, eight on goal.
