JACKSON, MS (10.07.16) - The No. 9-ranked UT Dallas volleyball team extended its winning streak to 10 consecutive matches Friday night with a 3-0 victory over Belhaven. UTD cruised to a 25-14, 25-18, 25-19, sweep of the host Blazers.

The Comets (now 15-1) return to action Saturday afternoon at LeTourneau. Match time is 2 p.m. in Longview.

Freshman Dylan Brinkman had a match-high 15 kills while hitting at a .333 clip to spark the Comets to the lop-sided victory. Senior Michelle Toro got hot late to finish with eight kills while fellow senior Holyn Handley ended with six kills. UTD hit .216 as a team in the match and finished with four blocks and four service aces.

Freshman Caroline Shecterle had 16 assists while sophomore Fayna Zeng added 15 assists as the duo split time at setter for the Comets. Freshman libero Briana Tully collected a match-best 15 digs.
