RICHARDSON, TX (10.08.16) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team improved to 4-0-1 in American Southwest Conference play after a 6-1 home victory over Howard Payne Saturday night.

The Comets (now 7-3-1) extended their unbeaten streak to six games with Saturday's victory and will look keep rolling Friday, Oct. 14, when they visit LeTourneau. Game time is Longview is 7:30 p.m.

Freshman defender Brad Rivenes sparked the Comets with a pair of headers off corner kicks late in the first half to propel UTD to the lop-sided victory. Rivenes' first tally of the night came in the 39th minute as off of a Max Morales De La Fuente corner kick. Rivenes' second goal of the game, and third of the season, was three minutes later off another De La Fuente corner.

The Comets' leading scorer Alfredo Kaegi then got in the action in the 51st minute, finding himself in front of an open net after a slip pass from Issac Uruyo. UTD's fourth goal would come in the 63rd minute as Kaegi's cross in front of the net bounced off a a Yellow Jacket defenseman into the goal, for Kaegi's ninth goal of the season. UTD added goals by Erik Reyes (67') and Jordan Henderson (76') before Howard Payne avoided the shutout with a Andrew Stevenson tally in the 81st minute.

UTD ended the night with 37 shots, 16 on frame, with Danny Meyer leading the pack with six shots Reyes and Andrew Jenson each finished with five shots. The Yellow Jackets (now 1-7-1, 0-4-1 ASC) took just three shots and only had one shot on goal.
