LOS ANGELES, CA (10.21.17) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team was held to a season-low six shots but stepped up defensively in a 0-0 draw at Occidental College Saturday afternoon in non-conference play.
The Comets (7-5-2) will wrap up their west coast swing Sunday with a 2 p.m. (Central) game against UC-Santa Cruz, on the the campus of Occidental.
UTD managed just three shots in regulation and were held without a shot in the first overtime period before pelting Occidental keeper Scott Drazan with three shots in the second extra frame. All three shots by the Comets in the period were on target, but Drazan, who took over for the Tigers in goal at halftime, made all three saves.
The two teams combined for just 13 shots in the 110 minutes of play with Occidental collecting just seven shots, five on goal. UTD also had five shots on frame in the draw. The Comets posted their third straight and eighth overall shutout of the season.
