SAN ANTONIO, TX (10.27.17) - The UT Dallas volleyball team jumped out to a early lead but eventually dropped a four-game match to No. 5 Trinity to open the Trinity Invitational.
The Comets earned a 25-22 opening set to grab a 1-0 advantage over TU, but fell to the host Tigers, 27-25, in the second stanza. UTD served for set point three times in the second set in an attempt to grab a 2-0 leave over the national contenders, but Trinity used two kills and a bad Comet set to even the match. The Tigers then used their momentum to gain 25-16 and 25-20 wins over the next two sets to secure the victory.
