RICHARDSON, TX (09.23.17) - The No. 25-ranked UT Dallas men's soccer team extended its winning streak to three games Saturday afternoon after a 2-0 home victory over Louisiana College in American Southwest Conference play.
The UTD defense did not allow a shot on goal by the visiting Wildcats while out-shooting its foe, 31-10, over the 90 minutes. The Comets had 15 shots on goal of their own.
The Comets opened the scoring in the 15th minute thanks to a penalty kick after an LC hand ball inside the box.
Kasden Williams drilled the penalty kick into the left side of the netting for his first career goal, giving UTD an early 1-0 lead. UTD added an insurance goal in the 63rd minute when
Alfredo Kaegi beat the entire Wildcat defense from middle before slicing a shot to the left of the LC keeper. The tally was Kaegi's second of the season.
KEY PLAYERS:
Daaron McFarling led the Comets with six shots while Kaegi and
Danny Meyer each contributed two shots in the victory. Kaegi and Meyer each had four shots on goal. UTD keeper
Chase Therrien recorded his second shutout of the season.

The Comets (5-3, 3-1 ASC) will close their three-game home stand next Saturday when they host Howard Payne in ASC play. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the UTD Soccer Field.
