CLARKSVILLE, AR (01.19.19) - The No. 23-ranked UT Dallas women's basketball team collected its fourth straight victory Saturday afternoon as the Comets more than doubled up Ozarks, 89-42, in American Southwest Conference East Division play.
Four players topped double figures with no one with more than 12 points as 15 different Comets scored the lop-sided road victory. The Comets shot better than 50 percent for the third time in four outings as UTD finished the game 34-of-64 (53.1%) as a team, draining 12-of-27 three-pointers (44.4%). The Comets have now hit 26 three-pointers over the past three contests.
The Comets took little time to take control of the game, grabbing their first double-digit lead, 13-2, at the 2:32 mark of the opening quarter after a pair of
Raenett Hughes free throws. UTD would lead the host Eagles, 15-5, after the first period en route to a 44-13 halftime lead. The Comets shot 78.6 percent (11-of-14) in the second quarter.
UTD used another strong offensive period, 28-16, to expand its lead to 43 points, 72-29, heading into the final frame.

Kelley Skinner and
Nkechinyerem Okehi each finished with a team-high 12 points while
Mia Spennato added 11 points.
Shannon Mathis led the Comets with six rebounds.
The Comets (13-4, 7-2 ASC) continue their four-game road trip Thursday when they visit Belhaven. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. in Jackson, Miss.
