ABILENE, TX (10.10.19) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to open the season to 12 straight game as the Comets upended American Southwest Conference co-leader McMurry, 1-0, Thursday night on the road.
The Comets improved to 11-0-1 overall with Thursday's victory and now sit in second place in the ASC with a 4-0-1 league mark. UTD will next face current sole ASC-leader Hardin-Simmons Saturday at 5 p.m. in Abilene.
Sophomore forward Kaitlyn Manning came off the bench for the game-winner in the second half against the host WarHawks (9-1-4, 4-1 ASC), tallying her second goal of the season the two squads battled through a scoreless opening half. Senior

Morgan Sherman down the left side of the field and found a marked Manning in the box. Manning brushed off the McMurry defender and beat WarHawk keeper Jordan Gregory one-on-one in the 61s minute for the only goal of the contest.
The Comets finished the game with just six shots and only two shots on goal, both season lows.
Rana Hussein led UTD with two shots.
UTD limited the host WarHawks to 10 shots, four on frame, with Sherman closing the shutout with four saves.
