SHREVEPORT, LA (11.01.19) - The regionally ranked UT Dallas volleyball team played its final non-conference match of the season Friday night as the Comets cruised to a 3-0 road victory over Centenary College.

The Comets improved to 21-4 overall with Friday wins, rolling over the host the Ladies, 25-11, 25-16, 25-19. UTD will wrap up the regular season Saturday afternoon with a 2 p.m. American Southwest Conference match at Louisiana College in Pineville, La.

Freshman Catherine Croft paced the Comets with 10 kills and four blocks as UTD easily handled Centenary for the second this this season. Madeleine McCall, Allison Owen, Alyssa Porter and Jillian Via each added eight kills in a balanced offensive attack. The Comets finished the sweep hitting .280 as a team, averaging 19.0 digs per set. Setters Caroline Shecterle and Sydney Fitt tallied 24 and 12 assists, respectively, while libero Abby Jones led the squad with match-high 19 digs.
