RICHARDSON, TX (03.29.19) - The UT Dallas women's tennis team returned to action after more than a month off Friday afternoon to dominate Concordia Texas, 9-0, in American Southwest Conference West Division play.
The Comets (3-0, 1-0 ASC West) rolled to six straight-set victories over CTX to open the dual before adding three quick doubles wins to complete the sweep.Â

Sindhu Ravula added a 6-0, 6-0, victory over Elaina Evans at No. 5. Top-flighted
Kathy Joseph, last season's ASC West Player of the Year, added a 6-1, 6-0, win over CTX's Alexis Popovich and
Sophie Farmer tacked on a 6-0, 6-0, win over Camille Kempf at No. 4 to give the Comets a 4-0 lead.
Sumvruta Iyengar downed Leyla Martinez, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 singles, locking down the team victory, before sister
Svaksha Iyengar completed the singles sweep with a 6-3, 6-0, win over Genna Ellinwood at No. 6.
Kathy Joseph and Ravula opened doubles play with a 8-1 win at No. 1, Muedsam and
Stephanie Joseph added a 8-3 win at No. 2 and the Iyengar sisters closed the match with an 8-3win at No. 3.
The Comets continue ASC West play Saturday with a 4 p.m. home match with Mary Hardin-Baylor.
