RICHARDSON, TX (03.30.19) - The UT Dallas women's tennis team remained perfect for the spring Saturday afternoon with a quick 9-0 home win over Mary Hardin-Baylor in American Southwest Conference West Division play.
The Comets (now 4-0, 2-0 ASC West) opened with singles play against UMHB and gave up just four total games en route to a 6-0 lead in the match. UTD then added three brisk doubles victories to finish off the Cru in just under two hours.
Svaksha Iyengar was the first Comet to wrap up her singles win, earning a 6-1, 6-0, win over UMHB's Madalynn Woelfel at No. 6.
Frida Muedsam followed up soon after with a 6-0, 6-0, win over Payton Burk at No. 3.

Sindhu Ravula secured the team victory with a 6-0, 6-2, win at No. 5 over the Cru's Emyleigh Johnson.
Sumvruta Iyengar completed the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-0, win at No. 2.
Doubles play then finished in flight order as top squad
Kathy Joseph and Ravula handled UMHB's Payton Burk/Alexandra Kyser, and Muedsam and
Stephanie Joseph downed Shannon Kelly/Johnson at No. 2, both by identical 8-1 scores. The Iyengar sisters then added an 8-3 win at No. 3 to close the dual.
The Comets return to action Wednesday afternoon with a non-conference match with Dallas Baptist. Match time is 4 p.m. at the UTD Tennis Courts.
