ABILENE, TX (04.05.19) - The UT Dallas women's tennis team has yet to drop a single point in divisional play this spring after the Comets rolled to a 9-0 win over Hardin-Simmons Friday afternoon on the road in American Southwest Conference play.
The Comets (5-0, 3-0 ASC West) picked up their third straight 9-0 decision against a divisional foe and will take a short break from conference play with a 9 a.m. match with No. 19-ranked Trinity Saturday in Abilene. UTD will then visit McMurry at 3 p.m. Sunday in another ASC West match before returning home.
UTD made quick work of the the Cowgirls three doubles teams, snagging a 3-0 lead in no time. Top-flighted

Kathy Joseph and No. 3 squad
Sumvruta Iyengar and
Svaksha Iyengar each collected 8-2 decisions before
Stephanie Joseph and
Frida Muedsam added an 8-3 win at No. 2.
Kathy Joseph was the first singles win for the Comets as she handled SU's Maddie Hammond, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1. Muedsam then gave UTD the team win with a 6-1, 6-3, win over Kyra Mobley at No. 3 singles.
Sumvruta Iyengar (No. 2, 6-0, 6-1), Farmer (No. 4, 6-2, 6-0), Ravula (No. 5, 6-3, 6-1) and
Svaksha Iyengar (No. 6, 6-2, 7-5) each added straight-set singles victories.
