MARSHALL, TX (10.16.21) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team erased a three-goal deficit for the first time in program history but would drop a 4-3 overtime decision at East Texas Baptist Saturday night in ASC play.
Despite the loss, the Comets (9-5 overall) are still holding on to a berth into next month's ASC Championship, currently sitting in seventh place in the league standings at 3-5 with only two games left to play. UTD will wrap up its late-season, three-game road swing Saturday, Oct. 23, with a 2 p.m. match at Belhaven.
The host Tigers (7-3-3, 3-2-2 ASC) took early control of the contest by taking a 3-0 lead in the 34th minute. UTD got on the board in the 38th minute with a penalty kick by

Jocelyn Boyle was taken down by a ETBU defender just inside the box. The goal was Fillman's 30th of her career, giving the fifth-year senior sole possession of sixth place on the Comets' all-time goals list. She also ranks sixth all-time at UTD in points (79).
UTD clawed within a goal in the 64th minute as
Rana Hussein headed a ball into the back of the after a pass from the right by
Sierra Foster.
Ashlyn Sims would later give the Comets the equalizer in the 86th minute with an unassisted goal to force overtime.
The Tigers, however, ended the contest in the 99th minute with a goal by Brianna Mickshaw, her second of the night.
The Comets closed the contest with just seven shots and only three shots on goal. Foster had three of UTD's seven shots with four other Comets taking one shot each. Keeper
