Cru Hand Comets First Conference Loss

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team suffered its first American Southwest Conference loss Thursday night, falling to #15/17 Mary Hardin-Baylor 1-0.

The visiting Cru (11-0-1, 4-0-1 ASC) took the lead early, when Mackenzie Worthy scored on assists from Maria Rico and Kennedy Harris just 4:44 into the game.

The Comets (6-4, 3-1 ASC) took 11 shots, three on goal, compared to 11 and 6 for the Cru. UMHB led in corner kicks 7-0, and UTD hed more fouls, 3-1.

UT Dallas Notes
- Jade Press recorded five saves in goal.
- Freshman midfielder Janae Shaklee led the Comets with five shots, one on goal.
- Junior defender and sophomore Claire O'Sullivan each had one shot on goal.
 - Bella Granada and Kaitlyn Futschik took two shots each.
- Futschik, Shaklee, Guidry and Caitlin Malone played all 90 minutes.

Mary Hardin-Baylor Notes
- The goal was the sixth of the season for Worthy, who took three shots on goal.
- Ashley Vensel recorded three shots, one goal.
- Rico and Kelsey White also too a shot on goal.
- Reagan Williams stopped three shots in the shutout effort.

The Comets will continue ASC play at home when they host Concordia Texas Saturday at 5 p.m.
