RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas volleyball easily swept LeTourneau 25-9, 25-19, 25-18 in front of a crowd of 603 at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
Before the match, the Comets honored their four seniors -
Madison Ball,
Catherine Croft,
Abby Jones and
Karle Lynd. The UTD volleyball alumni were also celebrated with a match Saturday morning and recognition in-game.
The Comets (13-4, 9-1), who continue to lead the American Southwest Conference, hit .283 in the match with 45 kills, seven aces, five blocks and 62 digs.
The YellowJackets (12-8, 6-5) hit .063 on 21 kills, two aces, six blocks and 46 digs.
Jones, an outside hitter, became the 11th Comet to reach the 1,000 career dig mark, coming up with 13.
UT Dallas Notes
- Jones now has 1,003 career digs. She also posted nine kills.
- Croft led UTD with 10 kills while hitting .421.
- Ball connected on six kills and came up with a match-high 15 digs.
- Lynd added three kills and block.

Lauren Johnson hit .636 with seven kills and no errors.

Gabi Engels added nine kills.
- Junior setter
Izzy Sundquist led UTD with 23 assists and
Emma Sevening added 18.

Rachel Baxter came up with 14 digs.

- Hannah Payan led LETU with seven kills and had 10 digs.
- Allison Smith recorded five kills.
- Reina Lawson had nine assists and Morgan Nix recorded 12 digs.
- Avery Mabery Morgan led all players with four blocks.
