ABILENE, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 1-0 loss at Hardin-Simmons at the HSU Soccer Complex Saturday evening.
With the loss, the Comets (7-6-2, 4-3-2 ASC) enter the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament as the fifth seed and will play at #4 McMurry in Abilene Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in a quarterfinal match.
The lone goal came for the Cowgirls (11-2-2, 7-1-1 ASC) came in the 33rd minute by Taylor Garrett and an assist by Kaylee Maddox.
HSU outshot UTD 16-4 overall and 8-2 on goal. The Cowgirls also led 5-1 in corner kicks and 6-5 in fouls.

- Randie Dennison led the Cowgirls with nine shots, three on goal.

The ASC Championship Quarterfinals at McMurry Tuesday night are on the horizon for UTD. The Comets defeated the War Hawks 2-0 at home in a non-conference game on September 22. The teams battled to a scoreless draw in Abilene this past Thursday.
