CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The UT Dallas women's soccer team moved to 3-0 in American Southwest Conference play after defeating Ozarks 1-0 at Hurie Soccer Field Saturday afternoon.
The win was the Comets' (6-3) third shutout in the last four games. The Eagles fall to 1-7-2 overall and 0-2-1 in league play.
The game was scoreless until the 81st minute when freshman forward
Alexa Poage scored on an assist from freshman midfielder
Janae Shaklee.
UTD outshot Ozarks 15-3 overall and 8-0 on goal. Both teams recorded two corner kicks and the Comets led in fouls 6-4.Â
The defensive unit of
Peyton Guidry,
Faith Autery,
Caitlin Malone,
Skyler Rodrigue and
Claire O'Sullivan anchored the dominant defensive performance.

- Poage recorded her second goal and second game-winner in as many games.
- Shaklee posted her team-leading fifth assist of the season. She has also had an assist in three consecutive games.
